Ultra beautiful and pristine. What is the altitude?

At the point where this was taken, not very high, but I'll be posting another shot soon, that was taken from a much higher vantage point on down the road. I used to have a topographical map of the area, back in the days when I was rockhounding and walking off into the brush alone, but it is packed away somewhere! I'll have to check it out and get back to you, because I don't remember offhand. We have several different mountain ranges within pretty easy driving distance of here and of course elevations are so different! I'm contemplating on which one to drive to now, as I want to get some new photos - I think I'm going to head into an old gold mining town I haven't been to in years, on the next sunny day! :D

I didn't know you were a rockhound. Barbara's father was a rock collector and generated an appreciation for it in Barbara.

Thank you! Actually for me, I find it very uplifting to be out in the beautiful natural settings. I love being in the mountains and driving through them - and of course always have my camera! :-)

The right part of the picture looks kinda sad to me, it reminds me of places I know. But the mountain is very pretty.
