Thanks so much for the views/favs/comments on ALL of the scenic wallpapers I have submitted over the last few weeks. I truly appreciate it! Braving the cold comes with the territory.....no pain.....no gain!
I didn’t brave the cold today! Brrrrrrrrrrr.....it was -24 F or –31 C when I woke up! We are breaking decades old, cold weather.....length records.....just what I wanted! Today’s Wallpaper pics are from two different shoots about a week ago.....taken just a few minutes away from me!! It is still absolutely GORGEOUS!
Hope you enjoy a bit of winter scenery from the Great North Land! Thanks for looking and all the very best for a blessed and Happy New Year!
Taken with my Cannon A-720 IS and available light.

Awwww...thank so much Jean for that great compliment! I wish I had a better camera to capture the gorgeous scenery here, but just can't justify it at this time. (I have a great older Olympus SLR and Tamaron lens, but can't really afford to shoot the number of pics needed to get the great ones, because of film costs) Also, I love the portability of this Cannon, because I can ALWAYS take it with me no matter what and that has caused me to get photos that I would have otherwise not gotten - because I wouldn't have gone to the trouble of taking a bigger camera. I will have to tell you.....that it was dang, freezing cold this day, and by the time I got home (I was walking) I couldn't feel my upper legs or fingers - even with all the clothes I had on!
I think your camera is fine, Anita; it does very good work. I know there are always more things that would be nice to have, but I guess we have to wait sometimes. I would love to have one of those very high quality, no-shake, 200mm or 300mm telephoto lenses that take razor sharp pictures; they cost somewhere in the thousands of dollars (each one), so I can't ever hope to get one. So I'll just use what I've got!
Thanks so much Daniel! Now.....what was that poem?? That's going to drive me nuts! I actually got to meet Robert Frost at a small gathering at the University that my high school was part of. I was lucky enough to be in a writing club at school and a few of us got to go! I was mezmerized by him!
Woke up today to a layer of snow, just an inch or so, however there is more on the way. I may get to take some snowy photos yet.
