........This copyright notice is being placed on all my fractal images because I have had work ripped and posted on other sites for download without permissiom - by other people who claimed the credit for creating the fractal. This is just simply put....stealing and wrong. When people quit stealing, I will remove the strongly worded copyright notice. :-)

Thank you Phil! I have had too many images ripped...found one on a site in Italy where the person had used it as part of his story and changed the title! Found 4 more on a Russian site that the person took credit for creating and offered for download.....I don't mind people enjoying them and if they would ask, we might be able to work something out...maybe....but to just go ahead and do what they want, without asking/telling me really gripes me! On another site I had a person use one of my fractals as a background for a "rather pornographic" image....and that's NOT the image that I want people to think of me...associated with my work!!! Sooooooo....those are some of the reasons that I'm now watermarking my images and including the copyright statement on every upload! :hug: :-)

I'm trying to remember! There goes the memory! lol :D I did google searches on my DA screen name. I also searched under Wallpapers/Fractals/screen names I've used...... The other time I read *laurengarys* journal about another fractal artist being ripped by a Russian site....she gave a link to the site.....I went there and found FOUR of my fractls there, with the guy taking cradit for having created them! I've also read the Ripped Forum on DA periodically, and searched through a lot of wallpaper sites....'til I'm blind! Sooooo, do some Google searches...definitely on your DA screen name.....I had over 1,500 hits on mine and am nowhere close to having gone through all of them! Good luck!! :hug: :D

I started a google search and was amazed at what all was there!! :faint: It could take days. What do you look for that shows you something is wrong :)
