This is Summit Lake on the way to Kenai. These cabins have been here for years, and years ago I wanted to buy them because it was such an idyllic setting. We can dream, can't we. :-)

Those little cabins look so small next to that big mountain. Oh wow I would love to have one of them too. Beautiful setting.

I so wanted to buy this property with the cabins when I came back to Alaska years ago but it was never for sale - when I had the money! I love to go there - it is so quiet and peaceful - so far away from everything! :-)

You figured out my "secret"! Now you see why I was so frustrated at not being able to get out all summer - but very grateful I now can get out! I missed my photo road trips so much! But I have lots of photos I haven't even uploaded from last year, yet! I was not happy with the upload of this photo. The sky looked fine on my computer but something happened to the compression when the photo uploaded that messed the sky up. I think I have another very similar shot to this and when I get time, will replace it. :-)

I am cherishing each upload. I know it is painful and difficult for you.

By the way, I just completed a night-time three hour hike with my friend Robin. We were barely able to see the ground and cliffs where we were hiking.
