BRIDGE OVER FREEZING WATER by 1arcticfox BRIDGE OVER FREEZING WATER by 1arcticfox
Snow, snow and more snow! There's been about 40 inches where I am, in the last 3 weeks! It's a good thing I'm a snow lover, but this is getting ridiculous! :D If it stays cold enough it looks like we will get more snow several days this week...nobody will say how much yet, but a big storm is coming. I'm loading up on food today!

It's been very cold this last week too, but finally has warmed up to 7 degrees above zero F. or -13.8 C! It's a heat wave so I went out yesterday and got some more photos! Everything is “frosted”....I love it when it looks like Narnia but I am really getting tired of digging out! :-)

I got none so far, and I live in the middle of Sweden :(

Oh no! Really? I've always pictured Sweden as very snowy in the winter! Is this unusual for there? Or is this about the time you would normally start getting snow? :-)

It's pretty unusual :) but many other cities have gotten a lot of snow by now (even those south of mine), we had a little and then the temperature went up again and the rain melted it all away :/

I feel the cold chill by proxy. This is supremely serene. I can feel the crunching of the snow under my feet.

Thanks so much for that great compliment! It was really cold and my fingers were starting to freeze. I was up to my knees in snow and it was hard walking since my balance is not back to normal yet. But I really wanted that shot - I could visualize it in my head and had to get to the spot that I took the photo from. It was precisely as you said, cold, serene with very crunchy snow - how perceptive you are! :-)

Awww....thank you so much Sherry! I was up to my knees in snow when I took that photo and it was freezing cold - my fingers were frozen because I had already been out in sub-zero temps for an hour but it was worth it to get that view! How's the weather your way? Has it snowed yet? :-)

Well be careful out in all of that snow. Only the 4" and it only lasted over night.

Yep...I try to be careful! I just will have to work on avoiding the moose since they are moving out of the mountains into town, because the snow is so deep there it's hard to find food. I'm sure you'll have more than 4 inches before too long. :-)

Expecting some snow tonight ... but not much and then again this weekend a little. Hopefully this winter will be milder than the last couple have been.

Hope so for your sake! I know it's not your "favorite thing" to have it so cold! :-)

Difficult to comprehend 40" of snow Anita... This morning was the first time I have seen frost. I am hoping for some snow soon as I really want to play with my new camera in the snow...

Oh....forgot....the snow was up to my knees when I was taking this photo! It was hard to walk because I didn't have any snowshoes! Gotta remember to borrow some from my son next time I go out in the woods! :D

And as I mentioned, we may have more snow coming this week! The weather hasn't decided if it wants to be above freezing yet....or below freezing when the storm moves in. Just have to wait and see. I hope you get some snow...I know how much you like to get out with your camera! :-)
