Thanks so much for the views/favs/comments on ARCTIC BLUE WONDERLAND and HIGH MOUNTAIN SPLENDOR. I truly appreciate it!
Different days for the two photo Wallpapers submitted ..different lighting. Photos taken from different viewpoints, overlooking the area of Cook Inlet ..which is just out of sight beyond the railroad tracks ..which are so close to the Inlet, that they are built higher ..for obvious reasons! Hope you enjoy a bit of winter scenery from the Great North Land! Thanks for looking and all the very best for this season regardless of the holiday you celebrate. I celebrate by enjoying the bounteous beauty of nature in the Far North at this time of year.
Taken with my Cannon A-720 IS and available light.
Due to severe Carpal Tunnel (goes along with Graves' Disease) I am not able to do very many comments please accept my apologies ..and my thanks here.

Awww...thanks so much Andrew! I DO live in a place that has such.....stunning scenery.....I'm on "scenery overload"! Have a good one....regardless of how long you celebrate the New Year! I'll be looking forward to some more of your awesome fractals in 2009. Geeze....I met you in 2004 over at Rendo....can you believe that? Where DOES the time go?!!
Awwww....thanks very much Jean! There is so much awe-inspiring scenery up here, that one doesn't know where to start! That's what happened yesterday! It was so beautiful, that I couldn't decide whether to go out by the inlet....or up in the mountians, or south by the mountains and inlet, or to try to catch the sunset, by driving to different vantage points! lol I tried for awhile to "catch just the right spot" for the sunset, but gave up and headed part way up one of the mountains....where it was just splendorous! Is that a word? Thanks again!
