It was kinda pink! It's called "Alpinglow" which occurs when the sun in the winter - where the land mass is at high latitudes (closer to the north poles) shines at such a low angle in the sky that the light passing through reflects the red spectrum coating everything in a pink "glow". That's a very oversimplified explanation! Thanks for your comment!
Thanks so much! I'm not sure if you get any Alpinglow where you are or not.....I'll have to check my "weather science" to see how far south that occurs. It's usually at the higher latitudes in winter when everything is bathed in a pink glow. It doesn't happen everyday....the atmospheric conditions have to be just right!
